Hello, welcome to Magnussen Artworks my name is Jesse Magnussen.  I am an artist born, raised and living in Omaha, Nebraska.  I come from a very large family my sweet momma who was my biggest fan and supporter and my father have both passed away. I have 2 brothers 3 sisters 16 nieces and nephews, two teenage boys Noah and Ethan, and my amazing and very beautiful fiance Jamie who has three boys of her own Dylan, Braedan and Dawson. My family and my extended family are the absolute love and passion of my life, they are truly what I live and breathe for.

I also have a passion for building, creating, making things, graphic design and for drawing.  I have been drawing for as long as I can remember, in grade school I learned that it was the small details in a drawing that really make it come to life.  After high school I went to college for commercial and graphic design, I have been working professionally as a graphic designer and prepress technician for over 20 years. Recently I started 3D printing with a FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) printer. I’ve also taught myself how to finish my prints to a smooth glossy surface, and to paint them so when finished they look like something straight off the movie screen.

I am a very passionate person, the things I have experienced in life both good and bad have taught me to appreciate things with a keen an observant eye. The beauty of a sunset, the power of a thunder storm the majesty of the sun when it rises. I try to convey the beauty of the things around us in all of my artwork no matter what I am working on.  I don’t limit my artworks to a certain medium as I believe that art is in everything around us and that everything we create is in someway a work of art.
